Ok, so I know I haven’t been around in quite awhile and I am hoping to change that. I want to get this blog active.

Sorry for not posting sooner but the weather has been horrible and I have been dealing with 2 sick dogs 1 of which is only 15 weeks old. Not fun! Ok are you ready to know who the winner for this challenge is?!?!?! Ok, here it comes…

Welcome to my challenge for the If It’s Groovy Blog Birthday Crop! If you haven’t checked out If It’s Groovy lately (or at all) now is the perfect time as the Design Team is having a birthday crop and you are smack dab in the midst of it right now! LOL!!
My challenge is to create a mini project with a birthday theme!

This has been a aweful year for my Mom and I. In the last few weeks we have been in a car accident (we hit and killed a deer) and lost another pet…my Mom’s cat Tabitha. She had been very sick and the medication wasn’t helping her so we decided it was time to put her down. I have been really sore since the car accident so I haven’t been up to being on the computer much. Today is the first day that I have really felt up it so I thought I would give an update on where I have been.
With Christmas just a couple weeks away, I am going to put off posting any challenges until Christmas and that will give me a chance to heal a bit more.
Oh did I mention, my Mom is getting a puppy this week! So, I now have to potty train this little puppy. He is a Japanese Chin and his name is Sting. He will be 8 weeks old on Thursday and as of Friday he weighed 1 pound 6 ounces. Small, huh?!?! But, he is oh so cute!

Welcome to Wacky Wednesday!! Today’s challenge is one that I always find entertaining and fun!! It has been raining here in Virginia for well over 30 hours now so I am going to draw off of the rain for inspiration. The challenge is to incorporate wet embossing into your layout!! Have fun with it!!

Join the forum discussion on this post - (1) Posts I am so sorry I totally forgot to post a Manic Monday Challenge! I will post one later today…I am so sorry! I have a good excuse though…ok see I take care of the feral cats around my house and well I am trying to save a little 6 month old kitten. So today I brought her in and I just didn’t want to leave her side but now almost 9 hours later she is asleep in her cage! YEAH!!!!! Next week I am taking her to the vet for her 2nd round of shots and to be “fixed”. Ultimately she will be a inside/outside cat coming in on the occasional night or when it is too cold as we already have 3 cats, 2 dogs, a bird, a bunny, and a tortoise…basically it is a zoo around here. Although I think she will be a mostly inside cat because she has taken to the inside so amazingly! Ok, nuff about that…I need to get some sleep as it is 1:30 am here! Goodnight!!!
I have seen this around the net on various blogs, on Facebook, and in a couple of emails. I thought it would be fabulous if we could all take a few minutes this week and send this little boy a card. Please help us make this little boy’s last Christmas request.

My creative mojo was gone today. I need to get cracking on these cards…my goal was to make at least a dozen by Monday! So far I have made NONE! UGH! Hopefully tomorrow my creative mojo will come out for a visit! :=)
Welcome to Show & Tell Friday! Every Friday I will share with you what I am working on and I hope you will share with me what you are working on.
Right now I am working on get well cards for my Grandpa who went into a nursing home on Monday for some rehab and I want to make a bunch of cards for him as he LOVES my handmade cards. Well, I bought the Wild Card Cricut cartridge thinking the ideas would just flow from it…nope not really! Well, I was able to get out 2 birthday cards for my brother using the cartridge. My goal is to make at least a dozen cards this weekend and get them mailed Monday so my Grandpa’s wife can take him a card a day. If anyone has ANY ideas that would help me…please share them with me!
I will be sharing the cards that I make with you throughout the weekend. :=)
